The Sumatron Model 100 Demand Monitor is designed to accept 3-wire KYZ pulses (form C transitions) or 2-wire pulses (form A transitions) on a single input channel and provide peak fixed and sliding window demands, present demand, and total energy on an eight digit LCD display.

Engineering units...user selected scaling factors can convert the pulses into engineering units for display.

User programmable...for the number of sliding window sub-intervals and the duration of the present demand calculations.

Switch selectable demand intervals...demand intervals from one to ninety minutes are switch selectable in one minute steps.

Switch selectable display modes...the desired measurement can be selected for display or all four measurements can be set-up to scroll with a dwell time of ten seconds.

Switch selectable output relay...one output relay can be switched to provide form C contact transitions that echo the input pulses or a contact transition for each demand interval for interval synchronizing with other metering equipment.

Synchronizing capability...can be driven by external form A or C end of interval pulses for fixed window demand interval slaving with a master unit.

Backup memory power...the standard design uses a capacitor to provide carry-over power for greater than a four day period.

Bi-color LED's...monitor the state of the pulse input channel and the demand interval.

Line frequency time base...the demand interval is derived from the power line frequency.

Switch selectable reset...the peak fixed and sliding window demands are reset to zero by coordinating the position of a three position read switch with the operation of the reset push- button.

Smart display...eight digits are provided for the total pulse count and six digits are utilized for the demand readings. When the unit displays demand readings, the eighth or left most digit will display a letter code to indicate the type of the demand under display, i.e., present, fixed or sliding window. The fixed window interval generation, internal or externally slaved, is also indicated on the display.

Diagnostics..three different test routines are provided to ensure proper operation. The unit will verify proper operation of EPROM program, RAM, and LCD display system.

Surge protected output contacts...RC networks are applied in parallel to the output contacts to control the rate of voltage rise across the contacts during circuit opening. The standard design will provide contact protection up to 300 volts and 0 to 100 MA. Where your requirement is greater than 100 MA, please specify the expected load current and voltage and the proper contact protection will be provided at no additional charge.
