The Sumatron Model 400 Pulse scaler is designed to accept 3-wire KYZ pulses (form C contact transitions) on a single input channel and provide output pulses that have been divided by the desired number to obtain a new value or weight.

Varistor protected...both the power supply and the input circuit are protected from transient voltages.

High noise immunity...solid state design uses CMOS technology to provide a high level of noise immunity.

Debounce input circuitry...3 wire inputs drive RS flip flop latches to prevent false counts from bouncing contacts.

Switch selectable scaling...four BCD switches and one mode switch are provided to permit four figure division scaling from 1.001 to 999.9.

Bi-color LED's...monitor the state of the pulses input and output channels.

High pulse input rate...the standard design will accept input pulse streams of up to 800 pulses per minute. Upon request, higher pulse input rates can be provided at no additional charge.

Surge protected output contacts...RC networks are applied in parallel to the output contacts to control the rate of voltage rise across the contacts during circuit opening. The standard design will provide contact protection up to 300 volts at 0 to 100 MA. Where the requirement is greater than 100 MA, please specify the expected load current and voltage and the proper contact protection will be provided at no additional charge.

Testing

Each Pulse Scaler is energized for 48 hours, followed by a full operational test, to assure service integrity.
